First General category IAS officer from Sikkim

Meghnidhi Dahal is the first person to become an IAS officer in Sikkim from the general category. Although there have been others who have become coveted IAS officers, none of them have cleared it through the general category.
He is 28 years old and is a software engineer. He finished his senior secondary schooling from Namchi Senior Secondary School. He did his graduation in Information Science and Engineering from Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology in Bangalore.
