Assam | FIR filed against Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI | January 19, 2019:

An FIR has been filed against Assam's Finance minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma by the Barpeta District Youth Congress.

The district Youth Congress unit had filed an FIR at Manida police outpost in Barpeta district, the organization has accused the BJP leader of making unconstitutional, false, communal and illegal statements in a talk show which was held at Guwahati on January 16.

The FIR signed by 21 members of Barpeta District Youth Congress (DYC) including its president Anwarul Islam Khan.

Khan has accused the minister of making false statements during the talk show about the presence of 'Bangladeshis Muslim foreigners' in Baghbar LAC.
