MUMBAI:

India’s premier engineering institute Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay social body ‘Abhyuday’, will host an Instagram Live talk on mental health on July 5 at 5 pm, to address various issues faced by the diverse youth of the nation.

The talk will feature mental health expert Tanuja Babre, actor and philanthropist Darasing Khurana and Mr India 2017, who will moderate the talk, along with an undergraduate student from IIT Bombay.

It may be noted young people have been experiencing increased levels of mental issues, with over 65 per cent of those aged between 18 to 24 years in India suffering from depression.

The talk is a part of Abhyuday’s campaign ‘Sangharsh - Conquering COVID’, which kicked off in association with UNICEF Maharashtra in May ‘21.

Founded in 2014, the team comprising 21 members has established a pan-India presence as one of the country’s largest student-run social bodies by leveraging the drive of the youth to contribute to the social sector.
