Adverse weather over North-East India from 1st April to 4th April 2017

PRESENT SYNOPTIC SITUATIONS

An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over north Bangladesh & neighbourhood and extends upto 2.1 km above mean sea level and a trough runs from this cyclonic circulation to the south Odisha across Gangatic West Bengal and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.

MET-SUBDIVISIONWISE WEATHER FORECAST

  • Moderate to Heavy Rain/Thundershowers is very likely to occur at most places of Arunachal Pradesh during 01st -03rd April 2017 and thereafter the spatial distribution as well as intensity of precipitation is likely to decrease over Arunachal Pradesh with light to moderate rainfall at many places on 04th April 2017 & at a few places on 05th April 2017.
  • Moderate to Heavy Rain/Thundershowers is very likely to occur at most places of Assam & Meghalaya during 01st -04th April 2017 and thereafter the spatial distribution as well as intensity of precipitation is likely to decrease over Assam & Meghalaya with light to moderate rainfall at many places on 05th April 2017.
  • Moderate to Heavy Rain/Thundershowers is very likely to occur at many places Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram & Tripura (N.M.M.T.) on 01st April 2017; thereafter the spatial distribution as well as intensity of precipitation is very likely to increase over N.M.M.T. with moderate to Heavy Rainfall at most places during 02nd-04th April 2017 and thereafter the spatial distribution as well as intensity of precipitation is likely to decrease over N.M.M.T. with light to moderate rainfall at many places on 05th April 2017.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING

  • Heavy to very heavy rain is very likely to occur at few places over Assam & Meghalaya on 3rd April 2017 with extremely heavy falls at isolated places.
  • Heavy to very heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places of Assam & Meghalaya on 1st April 2017 with isolated extremely heavy falls.
  • Heavy to very heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places of Arunachal Pradesh on 3rd April 2017; over Assam & Meghalaya on 2nd April 2017 and also over N.M.M.T on 2nd & 3rd April 2017.
  • Heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places of Arunachal Pradesh on 1st & 2nd April 2017; over Assam & Meghalaya on 4th April 2017 & also over N.M.M.T. on 1st & 4th April 2017.
