GANGTOK, September 13, 2017: Actress Priyanka Chopra’s statement on Sikkim saying that it is troubled with insurgency has offended many people in the Himalayan state. In a recent interview, Chopra talks about her new venture as a producer for Sikkimese Film PAHUNA – The Little Visitors in the global platform. Netizens have advised her to get her facts correct.
She also went on to state, “Sikkim is a small state in the Northeast of India which never had a film industry of its own or anyone who made films from there and this is the first film ever that came out from this region because it is very troubled by insurgency …”
