AGARTALA: The Union ministers visit the northeastern states to strengthen the BJP and RSS activities there, said Tripura MP Jitendra Chaudhury.
“The Centre claims that the Union ministers visit northeastern states to review the development activities but in reality, they visit here to make the party organization and RSS activities,” Chaudhury said at a programme held at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan recently.
He also lashed at Governor Tathagata Roy for using the Raj Bhawan against the ruling Left Front.
The BJP’s step in the first state of northeast – Assam and the debacle in West Bengal Assembly polls became a reason of worry for the Left Front. He later refused to admit his statement made against the Tripura Governor. However, he said that the Union ministers should review deeply the developmental works in the state.
