Just one month left for the state to go to polls, the understanding between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) will be officially sealed tomorrow.
Sources informed that the pre-poll alliance between BJP and IPFT would be sealed on Thursday.
After first round of talks held between the two parties in Guwahati and New Delhi, the final round of meeting to discuss programmes for the alliance would be held in Guwahati tomorrow.
“A modality committee was formed to discuss socio-economic, cultural and linguistic issues of the Indigenous community of Tripura. We have also conducted first round talks with IPFT. Next round will be tomorrow. If the meeting is positive, we could discuss the seat-sharing issue, ” said BJP’s Tripura Election in-charge – Himanta Biswa Sharma.
