Ahead of Tripura Assembly polls due in February, the government has transferred a total of 46 police officers to different regions of the state to maintain law and order.
Amongst the transferred cops, 21 were Officer in-Charges of different police stations while the rest were sub-inspectors.
The announcement was made through an official notification of the department.
In October, total 11 senior police officials (IPS and TPS) were also transferred.
Even the BSF were told to keep vigil on the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura.
The Election Commission has already proposed for deployment of 30,000 central paramilitary force personnel for the Assembly polls. The security forces has started arriving here since last Friday and more would come in a phased manner.
The state has more than 35,000 security force personnel including TSR, CRPF and BSF.
