A three member special NIA team arrived yesterday at Agartala to further investigate the case of 24 Bangladesh nationals who were arrested with fake Aadhar cards, out dated passports from Agartala Railway station last week.
Previously a two member team of NIA officials headed by SP Vivekananda Das had interrogated the arrested persons and suspected that there might be link to terror network. During interrogation they found out that the Aadhar cards were morphed at a shop in Deoband area of Uttar Pradesh. Based on a secret tip off, MTF personnel raided Agartala Railway station and arrested 24 Bangladeshis who arrived in Agartala on the weekly Tripura Sundari Express from Delhi.
According to reports the new NIA team that had arrived yesterday afternoon at Agartala comprises of an Inspector and two Sub-Inspector. After landing at Agartala they headed directly for a secret location where they will hold interrogations with the nabbed Bangladesh nationals.
