Young environmentalist from Assam receives India’s Great Leader’s Award 2018

A young researcher cum environmentalist from Assam, Moharana Choudhury brought laurels to the state after being awarded with the "India's Great Leader's Award-2018".
He has been honoured for his community focused work in the field of Environment at Northeastern States of India and the country by motivating youths for Environmental Conservation activity for nation building works.
The young researcher is working on several initiatives to integrate sustainable approaches in various heritage iconic places in state of Assam especially as, Kamakhya and Basistha Temple, on Cleanliness Mission, Beat Plastic Pollution, and Environmental Conservation programs focusing by promoting Environment Education both for school and community levels.
With an aim to achieving Global Sustainable Goal Mission and Climate Change related challenges emphasized by
proper Environment Education, Choudhury is spontaneously working for various Environmental research and environmental management, promoting eco-tourism for the state of Assam and the country.
He has also published several National, International Scientific research papers/reports in reputed journals so far.
Choudhury, is associated with several non-profit organizations and is also working for volunteering organization known as 'Voice of Environment'.

IGLA is an honorary award under India's Great Leader's Festival -2018 organized by National Human Welfare Council.
This event is a national level talk summit as "SAMVAD" and award festival basically, for those who ranked number one by the respective categories and selected by expert jury members.
Selected awardees from more than 20 states of India, 30 numbers of Government School teachers and 30 Social activist from different areas like Social Development, Environment, Science & Technology, Entrepreneurship, Culture, Sports, and Literature of India were felicitated at Press Club of India, Raisina Road New Delhi on October 21.
