 1. Assam:

Sarbananda Sonowal: The 56-yr-old chief minister of Assam, who represents Majuli constituency, is a Graduate professional. He completed his LLB from GU. Law College, Guwahati University in 1996. On the same year, Sonowal completed his BCJ from Guahati University in Assam.

Arunachal Pradesh: 

Pema Khandu: The 39-yr-old chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, who represents Mukto constituency, completed his Graduation with honours in History from Hindu College, Delhi University in 2000.

Meghalaya: 

Conrad K Sangma: The 40-yr-old chief minister of Meghalaya, who represents South Tura constituency, is a Post Graduate. He completed his Masters in Business Administration from Imperial College, University of London in 2005.

Nagaland: 

Neiphiu Rio: The 67-yr-old chief minister of Nagaland, who represents Northern Angami II constituency, completed his Graduation (Bachelor of Arts) from Kohima Arts College in Kohima, Nagaland under North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in 1978.

Tripura: 

Biplab Kumar Deb: The 48-yr-old chief minister of Tripura, who represents Banamalipur constituency (West Tripura), is also a Graduate (Bachelor of Arts). He completed his Graduation from Tripura University in 1999.

Manipur: 

N Biren Singh: As of 2017, this 57-yr-old chief minister of Manipur, who represents Heingang constituency, completed his Graduation (Bachelor of Arts) from Manipur University in 1981.

Mizoram: 

Lal Thanhawla: The 76-yr-old chief minister of Mizoram, who represents Serchhip constituency, is also a Graduate (Bachelor of Arts). He completed his Graduation from Guahati University in 1964.

Sikkim: 

Pawan Chamling: And we have our winner; the CM with the highest educational qualifications is 66-yr-old chief minister of Sikkim (longest serving chief minister in India), Pawan Chamling. Chamling, who represents Namchi Singhithang (South) constituency, is a Doctorate (Doctor of Philosophy).
