Tripura declares state holiday today; CM pays tribute to former PM Vajpayee

AGARTALA | August 17, 2018:
Along with Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Tripura too has declared seven days mourning along with the Central government as a mark of respect to towards former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The state government of Tripura had declared that all government offices and educational institutions will remain closed today.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Devvarma had reached Delhi yesterday and had also visited the national capital today to pay their last tribute to the tallest leader of BJP.

A condolence meet was also organized at the BJP state headquarters where Social Education and Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma, MLA Dr. Dilip Das and two-party general secretaries- Rajib Bhattacharjee and Pratima Bhowmik offered their tribute to the departed soul.
