Tripura continues to be ravaged to flood, 5000 people shifted to relief camps

Flood situation in West Tripura is critical as more than 5000 people including women and children were shifted to relief camps.
The water level in the Howrah river is flowing above danger line which poses danger for the areas situated near the river.
The West Tripura Administration is on high alert as there are updates of more down pour in the next 48 hours. The NDRF teams and Civil Defence volunteers are in action in various flood affected areas in the district. Currently, 12 relief camps are active in the west district.
According to Meteorological Department, 74.2 mm rainfall has been recorded in the last 24 hours in the capital city.
The state is also expected to witness heavy rainfall and high speed winds in the next 48 hours.
