Sherwood School, this year has taken the top 4 spots in the state rankings along with 2 more in the top 20 within the state.

"The result was good and was as expected. We had similar success earlier as well in 1999 and another year in the 2000s. We had expected similar results from this batch and they deserve all the success they got. They have been wonderful," said D'Brass over the phone from Kolkata where he has gone to meet an ailing family member.

"The batch was wonderful and we expected these results. There were many factors that came together to ensure success. The efforts of the teachers, the parents who continually motivated their children as well as the children, who were driven to success – that made the result possible," he said.

D'Brass stated that his school strove to ensure wholesome education in the school to ensure success.

"We don't encourage people to mug up things. We rather push them to learn, think and then write. This provides the balance in education that we seek," he said.
