The All Garo Hills Muster Roll Workers' Association (AGHMRWA) on Friday demanded the transfer of an Upper Division Assistant, Pisila N Sangma, for alleged misbehavior that included threats after questions arose as to why the department failed to release salaries of 3 months for them.

The AGHMRWA condemned the neglect shown by the UDA which has allegedly led to the delay of salaries for 3 months to the workers of the Baghmara PHE Division.

Sangma allegedly also threatened to terminate the services of the workers in question for seeking answers.

Salaries of three months (March, April and May) are due to the workers from PHE, Baghmara division though the salaries for the rest of the divisions have been received. The AGHMRWA blamed the UDA due to the non completion of paper work which held up their salaries.

The Association demanded the immediate transfer of the UDA within a week (9-16 July) failing which they would resort to democratic agitational programs to ensure their demands were met.
