Meghalaya: Body of man who saved tourists at Shnongpdeng found in Bangladesh

The body of the man who drowned in the Umngot river while rescuing Naga tourists has been found in Bangladesh.
Police said the body of the boatman, identified as Spainlious L Gadew of Shnongpdeng village, was found on Tuesday morning. A group of Bangladeshi villagers spotted the body floating on the Piyain River in Sylhet district.
The body was handed over to Indian BSF and police by the Border Guards Bangladesh.
Gadew died when his boat, occupied by him and four Naga tourists, capsized due to a sudden flood. He drowned after rescuing all four tourists.
