Karnataka Poll Results: BJP leads the race; Congress, JDS trailing
NATIONAL | Bengaluru, May 15, 2018:
As the counting of the Karnataka Assembly elections 2018 continues, the BJP is taking a giant lead leaving the Congress and JD(S) behind.
It seems the Congress party is set to lose even Karnataka, which is one of its few bastions in India. However, with the counting underway, nothing can be said or done.
Soon enough the elections result will be out and the people's verdict will be declared.
BJP waved its saffron flag up high in its first victory in Mudabidri and Congress leader Siddaramaiah is trailing in Chamundeshwari, one of the two seats in which he is contesting.
It will be a major boost for Modi's reputation and his government within the country, if the results are in favor of BJP and it will, if not completely, be a decisive factor for the party in the general elections next year.
