FIFA World Cup 2018 updates: 

In the first match played today at Kazan Arena, Kazan, France defeated Australia 2-1  and earned three points.

Both the teams played well all through the game. It was only towards the last minutes, soon after France scored its second goal in the 81′ minute through Paul Pogba, who poked the ball in the box, that Australia started to lose its momentum, missing many opportunities.

The first goal was scored by France in the 58′ minute through Antoine Griezmann's penalty kick and it wasn't long before Australia leveled the game by returning a goal in the 61′ minute through Mile Jedinak's penalty kick.

The next match will be played between Argentina and Iceland at Moscow at 6.30 pm followed by a match between Peru and Denmark at 9.30 pm and at 12.30 am, Croatia will take on Nigeria at Liningrad.
