Assam: Two arrested for duping SBI customer in Dibrugarh

GUWAHATI, July 17, 2018: Two persons were arrested on Monday by the police on charges of cheating Bharat Tanti, a customer of State Bank of India (SBI), Duliajan branch in Upper Assam's Dibrugarh district
The duo have been identified as Surosh Sahani, (19) and Mithu Rai (28), both residents of Paltan Bazar in Dibrugarh.

Sources said Tanti, a resident of Bijlibari tea estate, went to the bank to withdraw money where Sahani and Rai tried to cheat him once again.
Quoting Tanti, the sources said the two had earlier cheated him of Rs 50,000 through fraudulent means in the name of transactions.
Police arrived at the bank in time to nab the duo.
