Assam: Man arrested for showing porn videos to minors in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, June 18, 2018: In an incident, a 40-year-old man was arrested by police on charges of disseminating obscene videos to minors at Solapara area.

The man has been identified as Suresh Mali.

Police source in Paltan Bazaar said that the parents of three children had filed a complaint against the man on Sunday.

Police had also seized a mobile phone from Mali which was full of porn videos.

It was reported that Suresh used to threaten children not to inform anyone about the videos.

Police have registered a case under POCSO Act and also under Section 506 of IPC for threatening kids.

Mali was forwarded to the court on Sunday and is currently under judicial custody. Suresh, who hails from Gujarat used to live in a rented house in Solapara.

Police is also investigating if the children were sexually abused.
