Assam: Head Priest nabbed for Obscene Behaviour

GUWAHATI, May 25, 2018: City police arrested a head priest of a temple on charges of obscene behaviour towards a woman in Fancy Bazaar, Guwahati.
The head priest has been identified as Rajendra Das of Sitaram Ashram.
According to the reports, the victim who lives near the temple has alleged that Das used to pass obscene remarks on her besides sending inappropriate text messages. She further complained that Das used to even bang the front door of her house at night and threaten her.
Based on the charges registered against him, Pan Bazaar police apprehended him.
