As the month of International Womens' Day goes on, women from across the Northeast Indian region have proved time and again that no task is impossible provided one has the courage and determination to perform it.

Inspiring several women is Guwahati's Dhanmoni Bora who is the first female e-rickshaw driver in the city.

With an aim to empower women and earn her livelihood the mother of two took up the profession and now she is on a path to empower many other women. She originally hails from Mangaldoi and took up the new role on the eve of International Women's Day.

While speaking to media, she said she does all her household works and even drops her kids to school. She has requested all women to come forward and work hard to make a better life.

She drives her e-rickshaw on the Lalmati to Rajdhani Majid Road.
