Assam double murder case: Had sex with the corpse, confesses accused

GUWAHATI, July 15, 2018 | TNN: State's special investigation team arrested two person in connection with the murder of two women inside train toilets on successive days had confessed to their crimes.

A 19-year-old was murdered in one of the toilets of the Dibrugarh-Rangiya Express at Simaluguri junction on July 10. Another woman, barely after 30 hours later, was found murdered in a toilet of Avadh Assam Express at Mariani junction.

Upon further interrogation, it has come to light that the two victims were raped by the duo before being killed.

Bikash Das, the prime accused was arrested by an RPF constable from a platform of Tinsukia railway station on Thursday. The second accused Bipin Pandey was nabbed from Dibrugarh railway station on Friday.

In an interrogation, the accused, Bipin Pandey had confessed to the police that he indulged in sex with the corpses of the victim.
