Assam | APSC releases Civil Services Prelims Result 2018

GUWAHATI | March 15, 2019:

The results of the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2018 has been declared by Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) .

The Preliminary exam was conducted on December 30, 2018. The result contains the roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the Main examination. The tentative date for the main examination is July 2019. The date for filling the application form for Main examination will be notified shortly.

Step one: Go to official APSC website: www.apsc.nic.in.

Step two: In the 'Latest News' section, click on the Result CCE (Prelim) 2018 link.

Step three: A pdf will open. Download the pdf.

Step four: Check your qualifying status by searching for your roll number in the pdf.

As regards to errors in the answer key, candidates were awarded compensatory marks on pro-rata basis. The official result notice reads,

"With regard to the errors that had crept into the answer keys the Commission has awarded grace marks on 'pro-rata basis' in the relevant cases vis-a-vis the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India's verdict in case number Appeal (Civil) 1997 of 2008."

"The above result is declared as per provision 5.2 (XII) of the "Manual on Model Code of Conduct" issued in March, 2019 by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi," reads the result notice.
