Assam: Accoland amusement park under scanner over allegations of dirty water

GUWAHATI, July 19, 2018: On Thursday, a probe was ordered by the Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration  after a certain tourist complained of skin allergy due to contaminated water in Accoland in Rani Road, near BSF Headquarters, Guwahati.

According to reports, a woman hailing from Barpeta had recently visited the amusement park along with her family, after returning home, each members of the family started developing skin allergies and rashes.

The woman had alleged that the park authorities did not maintain the surroundings and clean the unhygienic water which resulted in skin diseases.

Deputy Commissioner Kamrup (M) Virendra Mittal has asked additional deputy commissioner Ranjit Konwar to conduct the inquiry.

Further, Konwar has been asked to submit the report within seven days.
