Assam: 15-year-old trafficked girl rescued from Rajathan

GUWAHATI, July 18, 2018: A 15-year-old girl has been rescued by the Jalukbari police from Rajasthan's Churu district with the help of counterparts.

Police have also arrested one suspected trafficker. The girl had gone missing since June 2 and hails from Adabari area.

"She was rescued from Churu district on June 26 and was kept in custody of Childline. Later Jalukbari police team went there for her recovery and arrested one Dilip Singh in connection with the case. Singh allegedly procured the girl from another person," said Ponjit Duara, assistant Commissioner of Jalukbari police.
