Arunachal Pradesh | Student’s decomposed body found near botanical garden

On Sunday, a body of a missing college student was recovered by the police.

The deceased student had been as Arun Modi, a 5th-semester student of IGG College and was reported missing from the Dangoria Baba Mandir area since around 11.30 pm of 13 September.

The decomposed body was found floating in a water tank near the botanical garden.

The body was recovered a day after an FIR was lodged by the sister of the deceased, Minam Modi, a resident of Remi village in Dambuk in Dibang Valley district, police said.

According to family sources, Modi was elected as the assistant cultural secretary in the recently-concluded college election.

The Tezu police have launched an investigation after registering the case under Section 302/201 IPC.
