Arunachal Pradesh | Police held 3 gamblers, detain 3 juveniles in state

ITANAGAR | September 25, 2018:

Three juveniles were detained and three men were arrested on Sunday evening in a raid which was conducted by the police in and around the city.

The police team was led by Itanagar SDPO Kamdam Sikom, under the supervision of Capital SP M Harsha Vardhan, recovered a large number of gambling materials, including 23 dices.

The SP said a case under Section 188 IPC and the Arunachal Gambling Prohibition Act has been registered at the Itanagar police station.

He said the capital police have already cracked down on gambling in weekly markets.

"More such action will continue. Citizens are requested to refrain from such illegal activities or be ready to face legal action as per law," the SP said.
