The counting of results will be held as per the given schedule in entire Tripura, including Tripura West Constituency as the high court of Tripura with justice Arindam Lodh at the bench dismissed the petition for repolling in the entire West Tripura loksabha constituency this evening filed by CPI(M)sitting MP and candidate Sankar Prasad Dutta.
It may be mentioned that Sankar Prasad had earlier made a plea by filing a petition in supreme court after the election commission had ordered repoll in 168 polling stations. However supreme court did not admit the petition directing Sankar Prasad to move the high court with his plea.
After appealing to the High Court, the hearing was scheduled today where after the hearing, Justice Arindam Lodh dismissed the plea, paving the way for counting of ballots tomorrow, as per schedule.
