Tripura: Education minister’s school visits alerts teachers as notices served for non-performance

In continuation with the surprise visit drive in different schools of the state, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath today visited Maharani Tulshibati School at Agartala which is one of the oldest schools in the state. Since last Tuesday, the Education Minister has visited several government schools in West Tripura District to check the quality of education and infrastructure facilities available in the schools and after visiting almost every school he has expressed his resentment over the negligence on the part of the school teaching and non-teaching staff.
Today's visit at Tulsibati School was nothing different. Here also served notices to teachers because of negligence in their duties. It is expected that the Minister will soon visit other districts in the state to check the quality of education provided in schools.
While speaking to the media, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said "After my visits, work culture has slightly improved in many schools but we need to achieve more. But at least teachers have become alert and are performing their duties without negligence".
