Sikkim: SKM celebrates 8th foundation day at Rangpo


GANGTOK | February 5, 2020:

Sikkim Krantikari Morcha(SKM) yesterday marked its eighth foundation day at Rangpo in East Sikkim.

The program had Chief Minister PS Golay as the Chief guest along with the rank and file of the SKM party present in the occasion.

While addressing Golay said, "Works not done in the last 25 years by SDF government shall be done in this five years of SKM governance."

He also touched upon the issue of extension of  government employees and stated that no Government employee has been given service extension, rather it was only approved of re-employment to the key individuals of the department for the easy process of work. 

The Chief Minister also said, "I also announce that from April onwards there shall be no service extension or re-employment."

Touching upon the Limboo Tamang seat reservation issue he said that the Limboo-Tamang community of Sikkim will get justice soon.

Two communities shall get the deserved seats in Sikkim Legislative Assembly. We are also communicating with Centre to notify 11 left out communities as Scheduled Tribes at the earliest" said the chief minister.
