Bhaichung Bhutia joins air warriors in Shillong as EAC celebrates Diamond Jubilee

Former Indian Football Captain, Bhaichung Bhutia today joined the the Air Warriors at Shillong on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the Eastern Air Command in the capital city of Meghalaya.

The HQ Eastern Air Command is commemorating its diamond jubilee this year through a series of events. A Bara Khana (community lunch) for the air warriors and families was organised on today where Air Marshal RD Mathur, EAC welcomed the chief guest, Bhaichung Bhutia for the community lunch.

In his address, the former football star Bhaichung Bhutia thanked the Indian Air Force for the services extended by the IAF during the natural calamities.

He further mentioned how the Subroto Mukherjee Football tournament organised by the IAF proved to be the stepping stone in his career in football.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by air warriors and their families and furthered the camaraderie and bonhomie among all the ranks of IAF.
