Union Ministry sanctions seven projects worth Rs 1,006.06 crore for Nagaland

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways sanctioned seven projects worth Rs 1,006.06 crore for developing the roads in Nagaland.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the projects aim to develop 119.52 kilometres of roads in the northeastern state.

Gadkari tweeted, "For Nagaland - Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sanctioned 7 Projects of 119.52 Km worth Rs. 1006.06 Cr for the state of Nagaland during 2020-21."

The projects include: 
The "strengthening of NH-61 (2 New) under NH Division Mokokchung, at an amount of Rs. 15.11 crore
Widening to I L & improvement of geometric from 101.00 km to 125.00 km on NH-61 at an amount of Rs. 252.2 crore 
Widening of existing Single lane / Intermediate lane road to two-lane of NH 61 and Widening of existing Single lane / Intermediate lane road to two-lane of NH 61 in the state of Nagaland has been sanctioned with a budget of Rs. 226.45 crore.
The widening of an existing Single lane / Intermediate lane road to two-lane of NH 61 at an amount of Rs. 297.25 crore
Widening of (the) existing single lane road to intermediate lane road from Mokokchung to Chare via Dikhu on EPC mode in the State of Nagaland has sanctioned with a budget of Rs. 192.93 crore.
Development of existing 2 lane pavement including strengthening of NH-36 in Dimapur city portion in the State of Nagaland has been sanctioned with a budget of Rs. 22.12 crore."
