Nagaland | NBSE announces central sector scholarship; here’s how to apply
KOHIMA, July 11, 2018: The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on Tuesday notified steps to be taken for availing of the central sector scholarship scheme, as directed by the ministry of human resources development, national scholarship division, government of India.
The notification said applications for fresh as well as renewal of scholarships must be submitted through the national scholarship portal during July-September. For the actual date of submission, it has asked all concerned to go to the portal www.scholarshin.gov.in.
Stating that Aadhaar seeding is mandatory for disbursement of scholarships, the notification said every beneficiary needs to have a separate bank account and get their Aadhaar number linked with their bank accounts.
Informing that principals/heads of the institutions must first register their institutions in the portal, the NBSE has asked them to inform and sensitise eligible students to apply through the portal within the timeframe. It said the heads of institutions must verify the applications before forwarding it to the portal.
The NBSE has directed the beneficiary students/applicants of the preceding years to check whether their given bank accounts are still active and Aadhaar-linked. It said it must be informed on this status through mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
