Nagaland: Grocery shops to remain open on Mon, Wed, Fri in Kohima under strict guidelines

KOHIMA | April 6, 2020:

In partial modification of the order, Kohima deputy commissioner Thejawelie Gregory today issued directives for strict compliance of all concerned in Kohima.

Grocery shops, bakeries, vegetable vendors, pharmacies, shops selling essential commodities are permitted to open only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the lockdown period in Kohima.

Only one member of each family shall be permitted to come out of their homes for the procurement of essential commodities from the market.

Only pharmacies are permitted to remain open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The movement of all vehicles shall be totally restricted except those vehicles which have the explicit permission of the DC office.

However, officers/staff/persons belonging to medical, police, district administration, paramilitary, media and vehicle carrying essential commodities with prior permission/emergency medical cases are exempted from the purview of the order.

The DC stated that the new order will come into force with immediate effect.
