Nagaland govt announces ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for frontline workers who suffer fatality due to COVID 19

KOHIMA | April 20:

The Nagaland Government has announced ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for frontline workers who suffer fatality due to COVID 19 while performing duties.

The Home Department (Relief & Rehabilitation Branch) has notified that any employee of the Nagaland State Government including personnel of Nagaland Police and the Urban Local Bodies in the State, who suffered any fatality while performing frontline duties in the wake of COVID 19 outbreak, will be paid an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 10 lakh by the State Government.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Neiphiu, Rio in his Twitter handle, announced special packages for distressed and stranded citizens outside the State.

Stranded students outside the state will receive a sum of Rs.3000, stranded working persons/professionals will receive Rs.4000, for patients outside Nagaland, Rs.20,000 will be given and daily wage earners in Nagaland will be provided essential commodity packages through respective district administrators.
