Kohima-Dimapur NH re-opened as authorities partially restore damaged road

After almost two weeks since a stretch of National Highway- 29 (Kohima-Dimapur road) near Avile Petrol Pump at Lower Para Medical area, Kohima was completely cut off due to landslide, the highway was finally re-opened for traffic as authorities partially restores damaged road.

This stretch was cut off on July 8 due to landslide triggered by incessant rain, also causing a massive land to sink, cutting off Nagaland State capital Kohima as well as Manipur State.

The stretch been partially restored and opened for traffic with immediate effect. Informing this in a traffic advisory issued this evening, Additional Superintendent of Police and PRO of Kohima Police said that traffic will be regulated for smooth passage on both sides.

In this regard, the police department has requested travelers to bear with the inconvenience.
