Northeast India against CAB: Youth Congress Presidents from NE detained in New Delhi

The Pradesh Youth Congress Presidents of Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Mizoram were on January 30 arrested and detained in New Delhi while protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016.

On 30th January, hundreds of members of Youth Congress from Northeast Indian states marched towards the residence of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at New Delhi in protest and to oppose the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016.

The march was led by the PYC Presidents of all the Northeast Indian States and from different parts of the country. Indian Youth Congress president Keshav Chand Yadav and Vice President Srinivas B V also also took part in the protest.
