Meghalaya launches ‘MyMeG’ programme to bring governance closer to people

MyMeG programme is launched on Septermber 15, World Democracy Day, to promote participatory democracy in Meghalaya. The program intends to connect to the people through digital and face-to-face modes.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday launched the MyMeG Program, an initiative with the aim to facilitate citizen engagement and participation in the process of governance.

 “Our vision is to transform Meghalaya into one of the top ten states in the country by 2030. To achieve this, we have been working tirelessly to improve the well-being of our farmers, women, youth, and every section of society. To take this further, we want citizens to participate and engage in the governance process,” said Sangma.

People will be able to share their feedback on various programs and initiatives of the state government by logging onto mymeg.meghalaya.gov.in.

The key highlights of the platform are:

— Citizen centric information on benefits of key schemes and program.

— Track progress of the schemes, programs and initiatives at district, block, and village level.

— Participate and share feedback and opinions through polls and surveys.

— Citizen engagement through townhall meetings, outreach activities, digital quiz, and contest etc.

— Knowledge Management Team to coordinate with the department and mobilize the program.
