Meghalaya: KHADC passes Rs 243.72 crore budget for 2020-21
SHILLONG | JUNE 26, 2020:
The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has passed a full budget of Rs. 243.72 crore for the financial year 2020-2021 on the last day of the Summer Session here on Friday.
The budget has a deficit of Rs. 50,190 with the estimated expenditure projected at Rs. 243 72,89,930 while the estimated revenue receipt of the Council is Rs. 243,72,39, 720.
Earlier while tabling the budget, Deputy Chief Executive Member (CEM), Gigur Myrthong said that there is a deficit in the budget estimate since the proposed expenditure is higher than the Council's revenue receipts.
He, however, assured the house that the Executive Committee (EC) will try its best to find ways and means to improve the revenue generation of the Council.
