Meghalaya: 6 more returnees test positive for COVID-19, active cases rise to 50
SHILLONG | JULY 07, 2020:
Six more returnees from other parts of the country and abroad have tested positive for COVID-19 in Shillong on Tuesday.
Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma informed that the six individuals including three men in uniform had returned from Karnataka, Rajasthan, Kolkata and the United States of America.
It was informed that from the six, one is a BSF jawan while two others are Air Force personnel.
With this new detection, the total number of active cases in the state has gone up to 50 with 43 recoveries and two deaths.
