CBI completes interrogation of ex-TMC MP; Kolkata Police Chief to remain in Shillong

Kolkata Police Commissioner, Rajeev Kumar will continue to remain in Shillong as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is yet to complete the process of questioning on the third day today and will resume the interrogation tomorrow.

On the hand hand, interrogation of former TMC MP Kunal Ghosh came to a close today and he will be leaving for Kolkata tomorrow.

"I was asked by CBI to attend this office related to Saradha Chit-Fund case and I have cooperated with the investigation… I am going back and tomorrow I will be heading to Kolkata," Ghosh told media persons after coming out of CBI office in Shillong today.

Reacting to a set of questions, Ghosh said "I don't want to make any comment regarding the investigation. I have participated in the joint interrogation with Rajeev Kumar and now the process is completed."

According to CBI sources, questioning of Kunal Ghosh is completed and he has given good information against Rajeev Kumar. "They were kept face to face today; questioning of Rajeev Kumar will continue and questioning on Rose Valley will also be done," said the CBI source.

This morning, the Police Commissioner entered the CBI office around 11 while the former TMC MP Kunal Ghosh entered the office at 10:30 am.

It may be mentioned that yesterday the questioning lasted for over 12 hours. Police sources said that joint questioning of both the Police Commissioner and former TMC MP concluded today.

It was also informed that questioning for the Rose Valley scam might begin tomorrow. Today the questioning lasted for over five hours.
