Manipur Guv declares entire greater Imphal area as containment zone for seven days
The order issued by the Home Department has relaxed certain essential activities though in the area with restrictions.
IMPHAL:
The Government of Manipur has issued an order declaring the entire greater Imphal area as a containment zone after 314 cases were reported on Thursday.
The order issued by the Home Department has relaxed certain essential activities though in the area with restrictions.
The activities permitted during this period are the movement of goods vehicles, including vehicles carrying oxygen/oxygen cylinders; all healthcare facilities including animal healthcare, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and movement of healthcare workers, stated the order.
Further, the order stated, pharmacies including those selling veterinary medicines, all health and medical emergencies, persons involved in essential duties such as Home, Health, Relief and DM, Police departments will continue to offer services.
Shops that deal in essential items including wholesale shops shall open from 6 am to 10 am at the rate of one in three shops on a rotational basis, the order mentioned.
