Manipur govt to provide Rs 2,000 to residents stranded outside amid lockdown

IMPHAL | April 8, 2020:

Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has announced to provide 2,000 rupees each to those Manipuris who are stranded outside due to the nationwide lockdown.

Manipur Chief Minister's Secretariat decided the step to transfer the amount to the bank account of the selected person.

The government has appealed those who have been stranded due to lockdown to contact the Secretariat or visit www.tengbang.in, a website launched especially for COVID-19 by the State Government. 

In a tweet yesterday, Biren said that the financial assistance of 2,000 rupees from Chief Minister's Relief Fund will be transferred to the bank account of each person who is stranded outside the state due to lockdown.
