DIBRUGARH:

Two persons died in a road accident near Banipur Rail gate in Dibrugarh on Sunday.

According to reports, one Bolero pick-up van bearing registration number AS23 BC 8932 dashed a truck number AS01 GC 3926.

The driver of the Bolero vehicle, Prashanta Hazarika and handyman Dudu Handique, died on the spot.

“It is not clear the driver was under the influence of alcohol or not,” a source said.

“Many accidents are reported every day and most are because of rash driving. While driving, people do not follow simple traffic rules which result in accidents,” said an official.
