With colours of NE 3rd Edition of NE India Fashion week concludes
ITANAGAR, November 14: 15 weavers and designers from Northeast along with Designer Joseph Aloysius Montelibano from Phillippines showcast their unique dazzling designs made out of indigenous fabrics. The Khadi Movement- The third North East India Fashion Week captivating the mind of the audience concluded here on Sunday.
Designer Montelibano from Manila said "I am very happy to be a part of the North East India Fashion Week as the designs and fabrics being displayed at the event were traditional… I learnt a lot by interacting with the local weavers and designers. I am happy that Yana has been able to provide these indigenous weavers and designers a platform to showcase their talent and tradition".
The line-up of the weavers who presented their collections on the concluding day were Krishna Sonowal from Assam, Apatani weaver Hibu Ollo and Khampti Weaver Nang Tripura Langkhun from Arunachal Pradesh, Mizo Weaver Lalsangzuala, Aao weaver Yatetla Pogen from Nagaland.
The evening was brought to life by breathtaking performances by renowned artistes from different states of the region. Renowned singers Simanta Shekhar from Assam and Mavrick from Arunachal Pradesh showcased the myriad colours of the region.
