BREAKING >> Arunachal Pradesh becomes 4th Indian state to approve death penalty for rape of girls upto 12 yrs

In what may be termed as a landmark bill in terms of fighting crime against children, the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly on March 16 passed a bill approving death sentence to convicts of rape for girls upto 12 years of age.
The same was tweeted by Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu today:
Arunachal today became the fourth state in the country to approve death sentence for those convicted of rapes of girls below 12 years of age. The Criminal Laws (Arunachal Pradesh) Amendment Bill, 2018 was passed today to impose actions on those committing such crimes. @PMOIndia pic.twitter.com/pCqM8HKgB7

With this, Arunachal has also become the fourth state in India to approve such a bill.
