Meghalaya: Shillong Liverpool Supporter’s Club propagates empathy on Independence Day


Shillong: On 15th August 2017,The Shillong Liverpool Supporter's Club took the initiative to make a difference and celebrated Independence Day by visiting the Rilang Children's Home which is situated in Nongshiliang, Nongrimbah near the Divine Saviour Parish.

To grace the occassion, Mr. R. G. Lyngdoh, Vice Chancellor of Martin Luther Christian University was the Chief Guest, praised the efforts of the club though a small start yet has a huge impact on this special day.

The fan club is hoping to visit another orphanage soon and when it comes to live screenings of every Liverpool game,the club will continue with it. The club is urging every Liverpool fan from all around Shillong to come out and support their cause.The Facebook page "Shillong Kopites",is a platform where fans from this region can come together and join as one.

The Shillong Liverpool Supporters' Club was founded in the month of September 2016. The club is spear headed by a bunch of dedicated and passionate members. From then on the club have been hosting numerous live screening of Liverpool FC matches and also extracurricular activities.Altogether there are 71 official registered members.
