Football: NEUFC appoints new head coach from Portugal

North East United FC have had a hard time with coach Sergio Farias opting to leave the club even before the start of the season. However, NEUFC have found a more than capable replacement as they have named Nelo Vingada as their new head coach.

The Portugese coach has over 35 years of top flight experience. His achievements include winning the FIFA u-20 World Cup twice, the AFC Asian Cup, the CAF Super Cup to name a few.
He is also a member of UEFA Technical Paneland is the Vice-President of the Portugese Coaches Association. He also previously coached Portugal, Portugal U-21 and Portugal U-20.

He has gained the nick-name "The Professor" for his meticulous study and analysis of the game and comes to the ISL with a proven track record which hopefully works with the club.
