11-year-old boy from slums to train at Bayern Munich

Football has become a very realistic  way out of poverty and with so many young children from all over the country being picked to train at different clubs and countries around the world. Chandan Nayak from Odisha has been selected for a two month long training programme with the academy of  football giants and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

The 11-year-old who lives with his mother in the slums of Bhubaneshwar is prime example that football can change lives. His father abandoned his mother and him many years ago but the tide seems to be turning as he gets this once in a lifetime opportunity.
